Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45 – 07:15). Every other weekend is required. The Neuro ICU Registered Nurse will provide high‑level nursing care in a comprehensive stroke center, focusing on patients with neurological conditions. The role includes performing critical assessments and interventions for patients recovering from strokes, undergoing neurosurgery, or managing complex neurological disorders. Responsibilities Monitor and manage patients with strokes (ischemic and hemorrhagic), SDH, craniotomy patients. Administer medications and blood products as required. Conduct continuous ICP monitoring and manage external ventricular drains (EVD). Provide care for patients requiring ventilation, including sedation management. Implement and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). ACLS and BCLS certifications are mandatory. NIHSS certification preferred. Experience with arterial line management and lumbar drains is significant. A valid RN license is required for the state of practice; NC or Compact license pending is acceptable for submission.
