Machine Builder - Laser Layout Tech

divh2Job Title/h2pUse laser layout device to chalk system layouts on the shop floor./ppBuild small automotive sub-assemblies./ppFits and assembles components to construct, rebuild, and repair sub-assemblies by performing the following duties./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliAnalyzes assembly blueprint and specifications manual and plans machine building operations./liliVerifies conformance of parts to stock list and blueprints./liliLays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly./liliAligns components for assembly and bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts together./liliRemoves high spots, and smooths surfaces./liliVerifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts./liliTests operation of assembly by hand./liliAssembles, sets up, and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customers specifications./liliBuild small sub-assemblies and mounting to bases./liliWelding small parts for the sub-assemblies./liliIdentifying parts on prints for build purposes./liliDe-burring, stamping, and painting of sub-assemblies./liliBuilding guarding around projects./liliMachining (drilling, tapping, lathe work, Bridgeport, etc)/liliProvide cost to complete estimates bi-weekly./liliUpdate resource charts daily./liliLog rework at the time of the rework./liliParticipate in Go fast and Kaizen events./liliKeep work areas clean, maintain 5S and safety./liliOther duties and projects may be assigned./li/ulh3Education and/or Experience/h3ulliHigh School Diploma or general education diploma (GED);/liliMinimum of Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./liliExperience with laser layout technology and chalking system layouts on shop floor (mandatory**)/liliKnowledge of basic mechanics and experience in machine tool./liliGeneral experience in assembly prints./liliGeneral knowledge in machining; Blue Print Reading; Basic MIG Welding./liliGeneral knowledge with regards to general build practices; Understanding of build specifications (i.e., threading, dowel length, etc.)./liliKnowledge of overhead cranes, Hi-lo, Pallet Jack and other related equipment required to perform the job function./liliKnowledge of safety precautions in the Manufacturing environment./liliAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization./liliActive Drivers License/li/ulpWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, ADD, tuition reimbursement, and more.
