IT Manager Lead IT audit engagements, mentor staff, and design methodologies aligned with COSO, COBIT, and NIST frameworks. Manage financial audit and SOX compliance engagements, coordinate with external auditors, and guide technical accounting decisions. Execute IT audit engagements, perform general controls testing, and evaluate IT infrastructure risk across client environments. Support SOX compliance activities, develop audit programs and work papers, and assist with year‑end external audit coordination. Lead and manage IT audit engagements from planning through reporting, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Oversee IT general controls testing activities including control design review, risk assessment, and compliance evaluation. Manage and mentor staff auditors, providing guidance on technical matters and professional development. Develop and maintain relationships with client management and serve as primary point of contact for IT audit matters. Design and implement IT audit methodologies and approaches aligned with industry frameworks (COSO, COBIT, NIST). Review and approve audit work papers, findings, and recommendations prepared by team members. Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory changes affecting IT controls. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in IT audit, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Professional certification required (CISA, CISSP, or equivalent). Deep knowledge of SOX 404 IT compliance requirements and testing methodologies. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Strong project management and client relationship skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership. Responsibilities Lead financial audit and SOX compliance engagements, managing multiple concurrent projects and client relationships. Oversee the development of audit programs, risk and control matrices, and internal audit reports. Manage and develop a team of staff auditors, ensuring quality standards and professional growth. Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and coordinate integrated audit activities. Evaluate complex accounting issues and provide technical guidance on GAAP and SEC reporting matters. Present findings and recommendations to client executives and audit committees. Drive process improvements and best practices across the audit practice. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree or MBA preferred. CPA required; CIA or other relevant certification a plus. 6+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or internal audit, with 3+ years managing teams. Deep expertise in SOX 404 compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting. Experience with SEC registrants and public company reporting requirements. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines. Staff IT Auditor Responsibilities Performs standard to complex audits on information systems, platforms and operating procedures as directed. Performs IT general control testing activities including control design review, data analysis, and assembling data requests. Evaluates IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organization and establishes controls to mitigate loss. Determines and recommends improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes. Evaluates evidence collected from control design tests and operating effectiveness analyses; communicates results. Assembles status and analyses required to test compliance with SOX 404 and other compliance topics. Performs IT internal audits as defined by annual internal audit plan and special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Sciences. Knowledge of current accounting (GAAP) and auditing (GAAS) principals and Sarbanes‑Oxley Act provisions. Understanding of internal control concepts (COSO, COBIT). Understand auditing processes and methodologies, including flowcharting. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications. Desire to attain professional certifications (CISA, CIA, CPA). A self‑starter with strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Provide high quality, professional execution of internal audit engagements and projects in line with firm risk management practices. Develop audit programs, working papers, and internal audit reports. Perform SOX compliance activities including walkthroughs, testing of key controls, and preparation of risk and control matrices. Document SOX walkthroughs and prepare audit work papers supporting evidence collected in testing. Update process narratives, risk and control matrices, and flow charts when business process changes occur. Review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend remediation plans. Prepare periodic update reports on the status of the SOX implementation/audit. Follow up on reported audit findings and assist external audit with year‑end testing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Either currently working on or a strong desire to obtain a CPA or CIA designation. Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills. Good Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and V‑Lookups.
