Are you experienced in electrical assembly, wiring, or manufacturing and enjoy working with your hands? We're looking for a detail-oriented Wire Harness Technician to join our production team. In this role, you'll build custom wire harnesses from blueprints and schematics, supporting high-quality electrical assemblies used in a variety of applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with assembly, wiring, cable harness, electrical, or manufacturing experience who are looking to grow their skills in a clean, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

• Build and assemble wire harnesses from blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Route and secure wires on harness boards according to print specifications.
• Install terminals, connectors, and electrical components with precision.
• Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, labeling, and terminal installation.
• Verify component placement, orientation, and overall assembly accuracy.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the build process.
• Prepare wires and components for production kits.
• Follow established build-to-print procedures and production standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot prints and improve processes.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience in electrical, cable, wire harness, or mechanical assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable working with small components and performing repetitive assembly work.
• Experience with hand tools, crimpers, wire cutters, and measuring devices.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Strong manual dexterity and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous wire harness assembly experience.
• Experience building directly from electrical prints or wiring diagrams.
• Experience in manufacturing, electronics, aerospace, automotive, or industrial assembly.
• Familiarity with harness boards, nail boards, and wire preparation processes.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing setting where technicians build custom wire harnesses using detailed prints and wiring diagrams. Employees spend most of their shift standing at assembly stations and build boards while utilizing hand tools and assembly equipment. The environment is focused on quality, teamwork, safety, and precision.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of East Peoria, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
