Summary: The Litigation Paralegal provides day-to-day support to attorneys and the broader litigation team by managing critical case support functions from intake through resolution. Our practice focuses on banking and financial services litigation, including secured creditor rights matters and related proceedings on behalf of lenders, loan servicers, and other financial institutions. This role prepares, reviews, and electronically files pleadings and other court documents in state and federal courts; pulls and organizes dockets and supporting records; calendars hearings and deadlines; and helps ensure matters move forward accurately and on time. The position also assists with case-related correspondence and client communications, provides timely status updates, and maintains accurate documentation in the case management system while exercising strong attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities

• Pulling case dockets and documents from court cases.
• Preparing and filing court documents in State, District, and Federal Courts.
• Calendar Hearings in our case management system, and schedule hearing coverage as needed.
• Track and maintain case deadlines and calendars.
• Communicate case status updates to clients.
• Request approvals from clients and update our system accordingly.
• May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals.
• May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs.

Experience and Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in a litigation assistant or paralegal role.
• Proficient in electronic filing systems for both state and federal courts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively.
• Working knowledge of state and federal court procedures.
• Experience supporting secured mortgage lenders or loan servicers is a plus.

Work Schedule: The work week is typically Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees are required to be onsite 2-3 days per week following a 90-day training period and upon management approval.

Salary Range: The salary for this position typically ranges from $25.00-$33.00 an hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs.
