Cost Accountant

LHH is assisting our client in Tulsa on their search for a Cost Accountant to join their permanent team. This role is responsible for analyzing and monitoring manufacturing costs, maintaining accurate inventory valuations, supporting financial reporting, and providing insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency. This role partners closely with production, supply chain, and leadership teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and informed business decisions. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze product costs, labor costs, and manufacturing overhead Maintain standard cost systems and update product costing as needed Perform inventory reconciliations and cycle count analysis Prepare and analyze cost variance reports, including material, labor, and overhead variances Assist with month-end close activities, including inventory and cost accounting entries Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning processes Analyze manufacturing performance and identify cost-saving opportunities Ensure inventory valuation and reporting comply with accounting standards Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as required Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost controls and reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of inventory accounting and standard costing Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH Recruitment Solutions
