Requirements Responsibilities Pre-anesthesia assessmentObtains and/or verifies patient consentDiscuss anesthetic options and risks with the patientInduction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesiaMonitoring of the patient's physiological conditionPerformance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements Current license as a registered professional nurseGraduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia educationCertified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
