Senior Cost Management Analyst

Salary: $183,000 - 223,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and/or plant FP&A.
• Advanced Excel skills, including modeling, pivot tables, lookups, and data validation; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing or cost accounting modules.
• Experience partnering with operations and driving performance improvement is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools is preferred.

• Partner with manufacturing leaders to analyze costs, performance drivers, and profitability, and turn findings into recommendations and actions.
• Develop, maintain, and publish performance measurement tools and dashboards for labor, overhead, yield, waste, and other manufacturing drivers.
• Manage inventory accuracy, reporting, and valuation at our Troy plant, and improve processes for timely, accurate transactions.
• Coordinate year-end physical inventory, periodic cycle counts, and work-in-process audits; investigate variances, document root causes and controls, and drive corrective actions.
• Support month- and quarter-end plant close activities, review inventory-related entries, accruals, and manufacturing variances, and explain results to leadership.
• Work with Engineering and Operations to assess standard cost and process changes, including applicable bill-of-material and routing changes, and maintain cost accuracy and change controls.
• Maintain internal controls and audit readiness for plant financial processes, keep documentation current, and support internal and external audit requests.
• Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting for plant manufacturing costs, including labor, overhead, waste, yield, and operating assumptions.
• Identify productivity and cost-reduction opportunities with Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing/Brand, and Finance; document initiatives, quantify benefits, and track results.
• Regularly present performance insights and financial results to plant leadership and facilitate discussions that support corrective action and sustained improvement.

We are hiring a Senior Cost Management Analyst to serve as the on-site finance partner and cost accounting subject-matter expert for our plant in Troy, Ohio. The role works closely with Plant Leadership, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Corporate Finance/FP&A to improve visibility into plant performance, strengthen cost and inventory controls, and support decisions through accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This position is based at a manufacturing plant and requires regular time on the production floor; personal protective equipment may be required in designated areas under site safety policies. The work environment is moderately noisy about half the time and loud about half the time.
