Position Summary

The Grounds Maintenance Technician will maintain the appearance, cleanliness, safety and general condition of Suntree Master HOA's common areas, parks and landscaped properties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Mowing and maintaining grass in Association common areas
• Trimming and pruning shrubs, bushes and other vegetation
• Edging sidewalks, curbs and landscaped areas
• Removing weeds and maintaining landscape beds
• Planting, replacing and maintaining trees, shrubs and seasonal landscaping
• Blowing or sweeping sidewalks, curbs and paved common areas
• Picking up litter and maintaining the general appearance of common areas
• Maintaining entrances, medians and other landscaped areas
• Assisting with irrigation-system maintenance and identifying irrigation problems
• Reporting damaged irrigation, landscaping, drainage or other common-area problems
• Removing fallen branches, leaves and storm debris
• Performing routine grounds cleanup following storms
• Maintaining and properly using landscaping equipment and hand tools
• Performing other general grounds-maintenance duties as directed by the supervisor or management

 

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping or general outdoor maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to operate basic landscaping equipment safely
• Ability to use hand tools and power equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in Florida's heat, humidity and changing weather conditions
• Ability to perform physical work, including bending, lifting, walking and standing for extended periods
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance crew
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and Association management
• Valid Florida driver's license likely preferred or required if Association vehicles were used

Compensation:

This is a full-time position starting at $20.00 per hour with opportunities to grow with proven skills and experience. This position will also include benefits such as medical insurance (90% paid by employer), 401K, paid holidays and accrued, paid time off.
