Description

Position Summary:

The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting the production team by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials, components, and supplies to various workstations. This position helps maintain efficient workflow and contributes to meeting production goals while adhering to safety and quality standards.

$18.45 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between storage areas and production lines.
• Stage materials for production runs based on work orders and schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate personnel of shortages or discrepancies.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against packing lists.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of material storage areas.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support production team with line replenishment and removal of scrap or excess materials.
• Perform routine checks to ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
• Collaborate with production leads and supervisors to prioritize material needs.
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced production environment.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
