About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer/General Manager to lead its non-profit rural water utility organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, providing leadership, and making organizational decisions in line with the company's mission to supply quality, reliable drinking water to rural communities. This role involves overseeing the preparation and administration of the annual operating and capital budget, long-range planning, and goal setting, as well as advocating for the company on legislative matters. The CEO/GM will also supervise the management team, ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and maintain relationships with various stakeholders. Applicants for the CEO/GM position at the company should have a minimum of ten years' of managerial experience, with a preference for those with a background in public utility operations, particularly in water supply. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of public water supply systems, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with the board of directors. Other desirable qualifications include an understanding of water utility cost of service and rate making, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to exceptional customer service and public trust. The role requires the ability to collaborate with other water supply systems and governmental agencies and to ensure the company's operations align with the highest standards of public service.
