Lead Accountant

Addison Group has partnered with a Real Estate organization with offices across the nation looking to add a Lead Accountant. This position will provide valuable exposure to the broad range of the company's business and finance operations core functions. Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments. Review and analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements and supporting schedules. Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts. Prepare and file sales tax returns and other regulatory filings as required. Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations for account balances and transactions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting CPA preferred Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
