IT Systems Analyst Healthcare Integration Job Summary

The EHRT Interfaces & API Solutions team is seeking an experienced contractor to provide operational and project support for a dynamic portfolio of healthcare integration initiatives with Epic EHR.

This role will help maintain delivery of interface and API backlog, integration initiatives, implementation activities, production support, and strategic integration efforts while key team members are dedicated to a major enterprise project.

The role also assists with leadership coordination and management of activities required to operate or advise a Client department or equivalent organizational structure, including project and department budgets, financial reports, and metrics for department decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in interface and API implementation efforts across multiple initiatives.
• Provide production support, issue investigation, and maintenance activities for existing integrations with Epic.
• Collaborate with application, technical, and operational teams to deliver integration solutions.
• Support testing, workflow analysis, and coordination of integration activities.
• Assist in managing backlog items and maintaining service responsiveness.
• Independently manage multiple large-scale IT internal business projects or single department-scale projects from inception to close, including resource management, risk identification and mitigation, quality assurance, and change control.
• Ensure communication between and among business proponents, stakeholders, and IT Leadership regarding assignments.
• Routinely interface with department committees and executive leadership and provide IT performance reports with strategic recommendations.
• Lead or contribute to the improvement of established guidelines, tools, templates, and methodologies.
• Develop proposals and business plans that ensure quality IT solutions and delivery.
• May serve as subject matter expert for requirements gathering for industry proposals on behalf of Client.
• May serve as liaison for industry partnerships or as a representative for Client IT in national industry events.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience working in healthcare technology.
• Experience supporting healthcare interfaces (HL7), APIs, or enterprise system integrations engines (Cloverleaf, ESB etc.).
• Experience with requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and operational support.
• Experience in finance and project management.
• Experience with committee and consensus driven organizations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, business process, continuous improvement, and organizational development.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated mastery of all requirements detailed in the IT Systems Analyst job description.

Required Certification

• Epic Bridges certification
• FHIR Badge

Preferred Certification

• Any other certification in Epic is a plus.

Education

Required:

• Bachelor's degree with five (5) years technology or business administration experience.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or related field.

Additional Information

• Required to have Epic Bridges certification and FHIR Badge.
• Any other certification in Epic is a plus.

Pay rate: $100/hr/W2
