Executive Medical Director – Neurology Clinical Development | Contract Opportunity I'm currently partnering with an innovative biotechnology organization seeking an experienced Executive Medical Director to provide strategic and medical leadership across a portfolio of neurology-focused clinical development programs. Rate: $300–$350 per hour Travel: Up to 20% This is a highly visible leadership position offering the opportunity to influence clinical strategy, oversee global development programs, and collaborate with executive stakeholders across research, regulatory, commercial, and operational functions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and execution of clinical development strategies across multiple neurology programs. Provide medical oversight and guidance throughout all stages of clinical development, from early-stage studies through late-phase programs. Serve as a senior medical leader within cross-functional development teams, partnering closely with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Safety, Quality, and Commercial groups. Oversee medical monitoring activities and support study conduct, data review, safety assessments, and interpretation of clinical results. Contribute to regulatory strategy and support the preparation of key regulatory submissions and health authority interactions. Ensure scientific and medical integrity of clinical trial data, study reports, publications, and presentations. Build relationships with investigators, key opinion leaders, advisory boards, and external partners. Support portfolio planning, business development initiatives, asset evaluations, and strategic decision-making. Mentor and develop clinical team members while fostering a high-performance culture. Requirements: MD (or international equivalent) with significant clinical experience. 10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience in clinical development. Extensive experience leading neurology-focused clinical programs across multiple phases of development. Previous people management and team leadership experience. Strong understanding of global clinical development, regulatory requirements, and GCP standards. Experience interacting with regulatory authorities and external clinical stakeholders. Preferred: Background in advanced therapeutics, rare diseases, or innovative biologic platforms. Additional advanced scientific training (PhD or equivalent).
