Senior Buyer
Catalent
Catalent seeks a Senior Buyer to support procurement initiatives at its Manassas consumer health manufacturing facility. The role focuses on cost savings, supplier quality, and risk mitigation while managing indirect spend and supporting new product launches across site and global operations.
Responsibilities
- Identify and support procurement initiatives for cost savings, contracts, supplier quality, and risk mitigation
- Participate in new product and program launches to influence sourcing and material purchasing decisions
- Manage site indirect spend and perform spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality for customers
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to meet facility needs; travel approximately 10% globally
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline
- Minimum five years material planning or procurement/supply chain experience
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment experience
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems including JDE and SAP
- Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures
- Lean or Six Sigma certification or experience
