Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OpportunityWiredPeople is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Hours of operation for the facility are 24 hours, 7 days a week from 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am, with weekend and holiday shifts primarily needed. The ideal candidate will be able to work a minimum of a 36 hours per week schedule. This position is full-time and onsite in Higginsville, MO.Essential FunctionsProvide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care and habilitation plans.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions or changes in condition.Perform and document clinical assessments, including vital signs, wound care, and monitoring of chronic conditions.Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure quality and continuity of care.Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in resident status, including initiating appropriate interventions and notifying medical staff.Participate in the development, implementation, and review of individual support plans (ISPs).Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic and paper health records, complying with all regulatory requirements.Communicate effectively with residents, families, interdisciplinary team members, and external providers.Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and facility policies.Promote a respectful, therapeutic, and person-centered environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.QualificationsCurrent and valid Missouri LPN license (required)Minimum 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED (required); completion of accredited practical nursing programCPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferredAbility to perform medication administration, wound care, and routine clinical procedures in compliance with state regulationsStrong clinical judgment and ability to respond effectively in emergency or behavioral situationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to supervise and collaborate with CNAs and other support staffMust pass background check, drug screening, and other state-required screeningsWiredPeople provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
