Job Summary:
This Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Salem, Massachusetts. The organization is seeking qualified candidates to fill a night shift role, with additional coverage on every other weekend. The selected candidate must bring their nursing license on the first day. The position involves working in a busy 65-bed Emergency Department with a diverse patient population, including pediatric and mental health patients.

Job Details:

• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Certification Requirements: AHA Certified Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications strongly preferred.
• Qualifications: 2 years Emergency Department nursing experience required. Skills include assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Rotation to day shifts (7 a.m. - 7 p.m., 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., & 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) is required when requested; night shifts do not rotate.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Clinician to Patient Ratio is 1:4, with a daily census of approximately 230 visits. The EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system used is EPIC ASAP.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in AHA Certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS; 2 years Emergency Nursing experience; location in Salem, MA; and no minimum years of experience required.
