Join Komatsu and be part of something big! The welder will work under the direction of a lead or supervisor in a shop environment. Key job responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, performing a variety of welding and cutting applications, laying out and performing complex repairs with a high level of accuracy and quality, assessing equipment repair needs, troubleshooting, maintaining, and performing minor repairs to most assigned tooling and welding machines, working in a diverse team environment, and working efficiently and productively at all times to maintain a billable rate according to department and company objectives.

Qualifications/requirements include current MSHA, a valid driver license, the ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical job requirements, experience with a variety of SMAW and FCAW welding electrodes, experience with carbon arc gouging, the ability to pass a weld certification according to Komatsu quality standards, the ability to apply advanced trades mathematics, the ability to interpret complicated drawings, blueprints, specifications, charts, tables, and handbook formulas, and 3+ years of experience with numerous welding and cutting applications including carbon arc gouging and SMAW and FCAW welding electrodes. The welder must also be able to maintain a flexible work schedule to include day shift, night shift, weekend, and holiday assignment as well as day and overnight travel.
