Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Weekends and holidays are required based on unit needs. Candidate is required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry. The nurse will monitor patients with cardiac conditions and manage their care accordingly. Strong skills in managing and interpreting dysrhythmias are essential. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. Experience in telemetry and ER holding is preferred. The nurse will provide care to adults with various diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, cardiac dysrhythmias, and acute kidney failure. Candidates must have experience accessing and managing medical ports, caring for central lines, and performing telemetry monitoring. Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams are crucial for patient care. The role requires proficiency in rapid response scenarios and cardiac telemetry procedures. Candidates are expected to follow all infection control and safety protocols. The position demands flexibility in scheduling and commitment to the unit's needs.
