Physical Therapy Assistant

Role Overview Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, this position involves implementing treatment plans for patients across all ages, ensuring adherence to physical therapy standards. Self-assesses and seeks ongoing professional development; shares knowledge with colleagues. Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Questions logically, analyzes data, and develops solutions to patient issues. Assists in student training, completes assessments, and supports educational activities. Builds productive team relationships, encourages input, and adapts to change. Supports data collection, monitors patient progress, and ensures therapy remains within patient capabilities. Prepares documentation, assists with discharge planning, and promotes evidence-based practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program. Preferred: one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Aide or PTA. Current licensure as a PTA with active, good standing license.
