Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in the PACU according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, document findings, and administer medications within the scope of practice.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with anesthesia, surgical teams, and other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking and independent judgment to support safe post-anesthesia recovery, including vital signs, airway management, pain control, and readiness for discharge from PACU.
- Ensure accurate handoffs to the next care team and maintain a safe, organized recovery environment.

Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse license (or eligibility) to practice.
- PACU, perioperative, or acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work 10-hour day shifts in a PACU within a hospital setting; able to cover 4 days per week.
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; eligible for California RN licensure.
