Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join an elementary school team in Contoocook, New Hampshire . This full-time position serves students with severe disabilities in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.

Position Details

• Full-time position
• Elementary school caseload
• Approximately 11 students with severe needs

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and student progress
• Differentiate instruction to address students' academic, functional, communication, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, administrators, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes student growth and independence

Qualifications

• Valid New Hampshire Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility for licensure)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with severe or complex disabilities preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Knowledge of IEP development, data collection, and evidence-based instructional practices
