Day in the Life

You roll onto the first site early, get the in-house team and subcontract crews moving, and confirm the day’s plan with the client. As the on-site lead for Tredegar, you keep work flowing—ordering materials, fixing a tool on the fly, and syncing schedules—so every task lands on time and on budget. Throughout the day, you capture photos for our office to share on social media, communicate progress so vendors can be paid promptly, and nurture strong relationships with our builder and non-profit partners. When a job wraps, you personally ensure quality and homeowner satisfaction before calling it complete.

What You’ll Do

• Launch in-house and subcontractor crews each morning and set priorities for the day.
• Serve as the on-site, client-facing representative of Tredegar and main point of contact.
• Coordinate scheduling among clients and multiple work crews to keep projects on track.
• Run material errands for both in-house and subcontractor teams as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair tools to minimize downtime and keep crews productive.
• Install and later retrieve job signage from customer yards.
• Close out projects with care, including:
  • Running a magnet through yards and landscaping to collect nails and debris.
  • Confirming customer satisfaction in person.
  • Returning excess materials to distributors for credit.
  • Completing quality control using a detailed checklist.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with builder and non-profit clients.
• Report job completion status to the office for timely vendor payment.
• Take and send project photos to the office for social media promotion.

What Sets You Up for Success

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of construction experience; knowledge of roofing, siding, gutters, and crawl space solutions preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; able to use a company vehicle for daily business.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, work under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and punctual.
• Able to lift at least 80 lbs using proper safety precautions.
• Comfort working in inclement weather, including rain, extreme cold, and heat.
• Strong communicator; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret residential building plans.
• Comfortable calculating figures and applying basic fiscal functions.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with local and state building codes and permitting.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
