Stationary Equipment TechnicianTuesday - Saturday, 9:00pm - 5:30am $27-31 Hourly (Based on Experience) *Eligibility for Quarterly Bonus*Summary OverviewThe Stationary Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all stationary equipment within the airport facilities. This includes conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and performing both routine and emergency repairs on various equipment such as conveyor belts, escalators, and other systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of these systems to support airport operations. You must also keep accurate records of maintenance activities and collaborate closely with the maintenance team to coordinate larger repair projects.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine inspections and maintenance on stationary equipment, including baggage handling systems, conveyor belts, HVAC systems, and other critical airport equipmentTroubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying and repairing mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues promptlyCollaborate with the Stationary Equipment Supervisor to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely, adhering to maintenance schedules and protocolsUtilize a variety of tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments to assess and repair equipment components and systemsFollow established safety procedures and protocols when working on equipment, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance activities, documenting repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasksAssist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment or modifications to existing systems, ensuring they meet operational requirementsParticipate in training programs and workshops to stay updated on equipment technologies and maintenance best practicesCollaborate with other team members to respond to equipment emergencies and minimize downtime, contributing to efficient airport operationsSupport sustainability initiatives related to equipment operation and maintenance, including energy-efficient practices and waste reductionReport equipment defects, safety hazards, and maintenance needs to the Stationary Equipment Supervisor for resolutionPerform routine lubrication and greasing of equipment components to ensure smooth operationMaintain an organized and clean work area, including tool storage and equipment staging areasComply with all airport regulations, safety guidelines, and industry standards while carrying out equipment maintenance tasksParticipate in on-call schedules to respond to after-hours equipment issues and emergencies, ensuring continuous equipment availabilityExemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQualifications18 years of age or olderEligible to work in the United StatesMinimum of 2 years' experience in equipment maintenance and repairBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsMust have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving recordCommunicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
