Validate system activity to daily bank activity utilizing various investor and system reports, including GSE forms and schedules. Follow processes to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize company risk for monetary loss, legal action, and charge offs. Participate in audit exams. Work closely with internal teams to align processes and guidelines.Requires a solid understanding of area of specialization. Resolves a wide range of issues with detailed research. Uses functional knowledge to bring insight to the role, identify issues and inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.WHAT YOU’LL DOReconcile assigned GSE and asset bank accounts and loan activity timely while following departmental policies and guidelinesBalance daily cashbook to identify remittance differences between loan servicing system and remittance reportsValidate bank statement activity against loan servicing system and GSE reportsWork closely with internal teams and other business units to ensure that processes align with internal and external department guidelinesEstablish and maintain close working relationships with internal and external business groups to ensure all issues and concerns are resolved in a timely mannerAssist in reviewing and responding to audit exam requests - internal, external, investor, regulatory and stateGenerate error log reports and follow escalation procedures to communicate process breaks to business units and managementReview payment applications for compliance with investor and Company guidelinesPerform analysis and reviews on new reporting formats and or proposed changes to reconciliation requirementsInteracts with other departmental personnel to ensure new servicing/reporting requirements are in place and functioning as expectedAssist in maintaining policies and procedures in accordance with company and Investor GuidelinesWHAT YOU’LL BRINGHigh School diploma or equivalentSome college preferredMinimum of 2 years of related experience, including investor accounting and/or reporting, required.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulationsStrong analytical and resolution skillsProficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external sourcesAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formGreat attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a team environment, strong interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated; self-starterAbility to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to emergent problemsProficient in Microsoft OfficePay Range: $21.24-$28.31 HourlyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
