Payroll Accounting SpecialistMy client, a booming construction services company in Cool Springs, is seeking a Payroll Accounting Specialist. The company has been in business for over 40 years and has low turnover because of a 40-hour work week, great culture, and owners who care about their employees. Hiring Now!Why This Opportunity Stands Out:Own a varied accounting portfolio that supports active construction projects across multiple states.Contribute to accurate payroll, billing, and project records that support connected accounting and operations teams.Work with a kind and caring manager.Take on meaningful responsibility in a small accounting team with direct access to leadershipKey Responsibilities of the Payroll and Accounting Specialist:Process multi-state payroll and related employee changes, supporting accurate pay and withholding across changing project locations.Maintain project accounting records by entering subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders into the accounting system.Prepare owner billings and project utility bill processing with a focus on accuracy and timely submission.Process corporate accounts payable, credit card activity, and expense records.Review certified payroll submissions for applicable projects and support related compliance requirements.Preferred Experience for the Payroll and Accounting Specialist:Payroll experience, including multi-state payroll and tax withholding requirements.At least 3 years of experience.Comfortable with Excel.Ability to work onsite in Cool Springs.
