Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote, with Required Court Appearances

As a California Family Law Attorney, you'll guide clients through some of life's most difficult transitions, from divorce and custody disputes to complex financial matters and domestic violence proceedings. What You'll Do

Lead Cases With Confidence

• Develop case strategies, assess legal options, and determine the best path forward for your clients.
• Exercise independent legal judgment and take ownership of case outcomes and next steps.
• Collaborate with firm leadership when appropriate while managing your cases with increasing independence.

Advocate, Litigate, and Grow

• Represent clients in family law proceedings, court hearings, and motion arguments.
• Prepare for court appearances and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Draft accurate, thorough, filing-ready pleadings, motions, declarations, marital settlement agreements, judgments, orders, and legal correspondence.
• Negotiate effectively and approach disputes with strategic thinking, professionalism, and confidence.

Guide Clients Through Life-Changing Decisions

• Represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, domestic violence, and marital property matters.
• Help clients understand their options, establish realistic expectations, and make informed decisions.
• Maintain composure and communicate with empathy and clarity, even when emotions are high.

Keep Cases Moving and Deliver Results

• Proactively manage your caseload, deadlines, court obligations, and client communications.
• Partner with paralegals and support staff to keep cases organized and progressing efficiently.
• Maintain consistent productivity while meeting a billable target of approximately 6–7 hours per day.

What You'll Bring to the Team

Your Legal Foundation

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active California Bar license in good standing.
• Ideally, 3–5 years of California family law experience, with more experience welcomed.
• Demonstrated litigation ability, sound legal judgment, strong writing skills, and effective negotiation techniques.
• Experience handling court appearances, motion practice, and client representation.
