Information System Security Officer

Dark Wolf is looking for an Information System Security Officer to join a collaborative, dynamic team in a fast paced innovative mission environment. This position will work hand-in-hand with the customer team as well as external satellite software development contractors. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of information security principles, as well as experience in software development, security engineering, risk management, and compliance. The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills. The specialist must be able to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective technical solutions. Responsibilities include:

• Conduct technical evaluation of containerized information systems design, and information security aspects and accreditation.
• Perform vulnerability assessments using automated software and container scanning tools.
• Review requests for software installation and conduct technical risk assessments on software implementation.
• Coordinate and track security action requests and report status to senior managers.
• Analyze, modify when necessary and maintain the client's certification to field security approvals.
• Conduct and analyze auditing requirements continuously.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in IT security and/or information assurance
• Background in secure software development
• Experience and enjoyment in working directly with customers to improve cyber security posture
• Experience authoring and maintaining systems security documentation
• Experience in generating appropriate security documentation to receive proper accreditation from customer security personnel, and correcting security shortfalls as they are identified through customer sponsored reviews
• Understanding of cyber environment and threats of our cyber adversaries
• Possesses strong technical skills and analytic ability
• Bachelor's Degree
• IAT Lvl 2 certification (Sec+)
• US Citizenship and active Secret clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an ISSE / ISSM

This position will be hybrid / remote based out of a Dark Wolf Hub: Herndon VA, Tampa FL, Colorado Springs CO, Ogden UT, or Omaha NE. The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $105,000.00 - $135,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
