Health Insurance Sales Representative (Houston, TX)

Founded in 1977 as the Senior Care Action Network, SCAN is a nonprofit health organization committed to keeping older adults healthy and independent. Responsibilities Initiate and generate opportunities for sales presentations, group meetings, community events, and other senior activities within the assigned service area. Establish and maintain productive relationships with providers and community leaders. Generate and develop sales leads and create a book of business. Enter leads into the company CRM. Develop sales resources and build a network of opportunities and contacts. Promote member retention by resolving inquiries and proactively communicating with current members frequently within the assigned marketing area. Adhere to production goals and performance standards. Create comprehensive reports that provide production data and measure results of growth objectives. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops. Meet with leadership to review performance metrics, determine sales strategies, and enhance sales techniques and processes. Follow all state and regulatory guidelines by adhering to sales and marketing requirements established by CMS, MIPPA, and other policies and procedures implemented by the Compliance Department. Maintain professional knowledge of Medicare, Medi‑Cal, and SCAN benefits by successfully completing all required training. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Located in or near Houston, TX. Valid health license in TX and CMS annual certifications required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred. 1‑3 years of related experience. Sales and marketing experience in the healthcare industry preferred. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of the subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. What’s in it for you? Base Pay Range: $68,640 to $70,000 annually.
