By delivering precise financial insights, you'll empower management to make informed decisions and drive business success.ResponsibilitiesHow You'll Make an ImpactDeliver accurate and timely service to internal and external departmentsPrepare standard and ad hoc journal entries for month-end close, execute complex account reconciliations and analyze general ledger accountsUtilize software applications to compile and summarize accounting information for analysis and reporting purposes, presenting results as neededReview processes to identify opportunities for improvement and standardizationExamine employee and transactional details to validate payroll entries on balance sheet and income statementProvide insight into data variances, communicate findings and support audit processesPrepare work papers, reporting requests, analyses and special projects in accordance with management and audit requirementsAssist staff team members with troubleshooting work issuesExecute duties in compliance with GAAP, internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, adhering to company policiesPerform other tasks as requested by supervisors or managementWorking ConditionsOffice environmentQualificationsWhat You'll Bring to SpectrumRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in accounting or related fieldExperience4+ years general ledger accounting experience including account reconciliations and journal entriesSkillsStrong knowledge of account reconciliations, journal entries and general ledger account analysisProficiency with MS Office, especially MS Excel using pivot tables and vlookupsStrong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, able to convey ideas and issues effectively to all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to analyze transactions, determine proper accounting and understand variancesAbility to handle multiple projects and tasks while meeting deadlinesEffective prioritization and organization skillsCapacity to work independently with minimal supervision, delivering quality and accurate service and work productsAttention to detail and ability to understand oral and written communicationParticipation in meetings, openness to new ideas and feedbackAbility to use assigned computers and software applicationsKnowledge of general accounting theory and conceptsExperience working with general ledger ERP softwareProfessional attitude dedicated to achieving team resultsFlexibility to work hours beyond the normal work week when requiredPreferred QualificationsEducationMaster's degree in AccountancyCertified Public AccountantSkillsFamiliarity with Oracle HCM or PeopleSoft HRMS (training available for qualified candidates)Experience with large company General Ledger ERP systems
