Operate monorail, bridge, gantry, and other overhead cranes to safely move steel and metal products, heavy machinery, and manufacturing components across production and warehouse environments. This role reports to the Production Manager and Warehouse Manager and may work day, evening, night, or rotating shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple types of overhead cranes, including monorail, bridge, and gantry cranes.
- Handle and position steel, metal products, heavy machinery, and manufacturing components.
- Inspect rigging equipment, slings, and loads before operation.
- Perform hoist maintenance and identify equipment issues.
- Follow workplace safety requirements and safe lifting procedures.
- Maintain worksite housekeeping and organized material storage areas.
- Apply steel-handling experience to support efficient production and material movement.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of overhead crane operation experience.
- OSHA-compliant overhead crane operator certification.
- Experience operating overhead cranes.
- Knowledge of rigging and slinging.
- Experience with material handling.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Experience handling steel and metal products.
