Job Title

RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMC / Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments while accurately documenting assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Conduct holistic ongoing patient assessments and evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information in a timely manner
• Delegate appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team; may float in unit rotation including as a sitter

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN licensure or Compact RN licensure
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Ability to practice consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Progressive Care, IMC, or Stepdown unit setting
• Familiarity with evidence-based nursing procedures and current clinical workflows
