SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Warehouse Leads for a large, well-known client in Tinley Park, IL. As a Warehouse Lead for SURESTAFF, you will support daily warehouse operations, assist with coordinating workflow, promoting a strong safety culture, and helping ensure operational goals are met. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All Temp-To-Hire employees are offered competitive compensation $26/HR as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include: 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Lead:

• Serve as a lead on the warehouse floor by providing guidance and support to warehouse associates during daily operations.
• Help coordinate daily work assignments and assist with balancing workloads to support operational priorities.
• Assist with daily startup meetings and communicate important operational updates to the team.
• Monitor daily workflow and communicate any operational issues or concerns to the Assistant Manager.
• Assist with unloading containers by forklift/material handling equipment or by hand, put away inventory, pick orders, load trucks, and verify shipments as needed.
• Assists with sorting and finalizing outbound shipments.
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory through proper product handling and inventory control practices.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as assigned.
• Support the onboarding and training of new employees and assist with ongoing cross-training of warehouse associates.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while ensuring housekeeping standards are met.

Required Qualifications of the Warehouse Lead:

• Previous lead experience in a distribution center or high-volume warehouse environment with a smaller crew
• Previous Raymond Forklift experience
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, RF scanners, or similar warehouse technology.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• High attention to detail and safety/compliance.
• Demonstrate good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and sound judgement.
