Project Engineer - Land Development

We are seeking a Project Engineer - Land Development to support the delivery of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects from concept through to construction. This role will suit a motivated civil engineer who enjoys working across technical design, project coordination and client engagement. You will contribute to projects that require practical, cost-effective and compliant engineering solutions while working closely with senior engineers, planners, surveyors, contractors, authorities and other project stakeholders.


Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports and approval documentation for land development works. You will assist with earthworks, road and pavement design, stormwater drainage, flood management, water and sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, and utility coordination. You will coordinate inputs from internal and external consultants, monitor project programmes and budgets, respond to technical queries, and support the resolution of design and construction issues. The role will also involve attending site inspections and meetings, reviewing contractor submissions, and assisting with construction administration to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.


Applicants should hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have relevant experience in land development or a related civil engineering environment. Knowledge of applicable local standards, planning and development approval processes, and construction practices will be highly regarded. Experience using civil design and documentation software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d or equivalent platforms, is desirable. You will need strong written and verbal communication skills, sound technical judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to quality, safety and professional development are essential. Membership of a recognised engineering body, or progress towards professional registration, will be advantageous.
