Work Environment

This position allows for flexible remote work, enabling the Licensed Clinical Social Worker to effectively engage with students, families, and educational staff from the comfort of their home while ensuring that services are delivered effectively. The virtual setting also allows you to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, school psychologists, and other mental health professionals, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for each student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments to evaluate students’ mental health needs, identifying issues that may affect their academic and social performance.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide therapeutic services, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities appropriate for different age groups.
  • Work collaboratively with educators and school staff to create a support network for students, fostering an environment conducive to learning and emotional growth.
  • Offer crisis intervention and emotional support during critical situations, promptly addressing the immediate needs of students and ensuring their safety.
  • Accurately document patient progress and treatment interventions using electronic health record systems, contributing to ongoing assessments and future treatment planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a diverse range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related concerns. Your role will be pivotal in creating a supportive framework within the educational setting that encourages students to thrive both academically and emotionally.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution or a related field.
  • Possession of a valid LCSW license in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on youth and school systems.
  • Proficient understanding of various therapeutic techniques and frameworks, with the ability to adapt interventions based on individual student needs.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience working within an educational setting, particularly in schools or educational mental health.
  • Knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes and experience collaborating with school staff and parents.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
