Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy

Pharmacy Technician at Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CA. This position is Per Diem, and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists in all phases of departmental operations including dispensing, sterile product preparation, data entry, report generation, packaging, record keeping, stocking, delivering, billing and clerical duties. No item prepared by a Pharmacy Technician may leave the department prior to being checked by a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Certified Checker Technician.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Pharmacy Technician internship or equivalent education/experience.
• Coursework/Training: Pharmacy Technician training course or equivalent education/experience.
• Upon hire: California Pharmacy Technician License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience.
• I.V. Admixture experience.
• Unit Dose experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
