Applicants can learn more about the firm’s services and culture by visiting Role Description The Senior Tax Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Florence, SC. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. The Senior Tax Associate will research complex tax issues, assist with tax planning strategies, and support clients with resolving tax-related questions. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing financial information, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and maintaining organized documentation. The role also involves collaborating with partners and team members, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to process improvements and high-quality client service. Qualifications Strong tax compliance and tax preparation skills across multiple entity types. Solid understanding of tax law and regulations, with the ability to research and interpret complex tax issues. Professional-level knowledge of tax and finance principles, including financial statement analysis. Proficiency with tax and accounting software, and strong Excel skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license or progress toward CPA strongly preferred. Several years of recent public accounting tax experience, ideally in a similar senior or supervisory role. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
