Description
  • Assess patients across various demographics, employing standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment strategies that target immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing proficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to form comprehensive care plans.
  • Provide critical education to patients and family members to encourage progress outside of clinical encounters.
  • Assist in inpatient evaluations and treatment, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care throughout their therapeutic journey.
  • Keep meticulous and timely records which comply with regulatory standards.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification if applicable.
Certifications
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be secured within 30 days of hire.

  • Mastery of evidence-based treatment strategies relevant to diverse age groups, with an in-depth understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on communication among patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to adapt therapy vocabularies and techniques in consideration of cultural and linguistic diversity.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and analytical problem-solving aptitude.
