About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours, 4 days a week Experience: 5+ years minimum of current Oncology experience License: Active Texas or Compact license Certifications: ONS chemotherapy biotherapy provider certificate, Active American Heart Association BLS Must-Have: EPIC Beacon and Chemotherapy Infusion experience Disclosure of any previous employment history Description: The RN is a licensed professional who coordinates patient care delivery. This role focuses on specific patient populations and health conditions by the healthcare team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient and identifies nursing diagnoses based on health responses. The RN develops and implements an individualized plan of care and evaluates the patient's response. The RN utilizes knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients in transitioning through their healthcare encounter. This is done without preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on the Nursing Practice Act, patient conditions, and competencies of the employees.
