Auditor III

Responsibilities Conduct internal and/or external operational, financial, and compliance audits of divisions, departments, providers, and activities of the corporation (50%). This includes evaluation of internal controls, identification and documentation of business risks, development of audit programs, testing existing controls, preparing work papers and audit reports, and serving as Lead Auditor on complex assignments. Draft recommendations to limit risks and improve processes and functions (15%). Write audit reports for corporate executive management that convey engagement evaluations, conclusions, and recommendations. Collect and analyse data to detect deficient controls, fraud, or non‑compliance; test corrective actions. Develop detailed reports on each audit conducted (10%). Reports include review of findings, recommendations for correction, and methods for improvement. Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity. Conduct special audit studies for management, such as fraud prevention controls (10%). Prepare reports of findings and recommendations. Provide training to and assist or lead other auditors (5%). Maximise audit efficiency and reduce lost time and involvement of corporate personnel. Expand knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, program instructions, and technology through self‑study, corporate offerings, and formal training programs (5%). Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in a job related field and at least 5 years of auditing experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in any major. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of the principles and practices of auditing. Ability to analyse financial data, draw conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations. Ability to gather information by examining records and documents and by interviewing individuals concerning those records. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with persons at all levels, and to maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form. Ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis. Excellent analytical or critical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities. Software and Tools Microsoft Office. Licenses and Certifications Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Work Environment Typical office environment. Travel between office buildings and out of town may be required.
