Radiology Technologist

Schedule Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Job Summary As a Radiology Technologist, you will utilize x‑ray to assist in diagnosis and/or treatment while always adhering to state, regulatory, and Radiation Right guidelines. You will perform radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. You will exercise professional judgment in performing services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. You will provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. You will work closely with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies while also promoting optimal unit operations. Responsibilities You will perform all Diagnostic Radiologic Procedures You will demonstrate technique to produce optimal study You will correctly use all equipment in clinical area, including but not limited to: fluoro, c‑arm, Tomo, and portable units You will interpret physician orders prior to performing exam to ensure optimal study You will refer technique/study issues to Senior Tech/Radiologist as appropriate You will utilize appropriate markers/ID on each exam You will assist radiologist with procedures You will demonstrate sterile technique as appropriate You will prepare patient for exams You will demonstrate awareness of physician supply preferences and/or use Radiology preference cards You will verbalize indication for various contrast mediums You will provide patient care throughout procedure You will assess patient’s level of understanding regarding procedure to be performed; provide information as needed, at appropriate level for patient You will ensure patient safety throughout exam Qualifications Two years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care setting – preferred Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT, (R)) Benefits Comprehensive benefits for medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health and telemedicine services Wellbeing support , including free counseling and referral services Time away from work programs for paid time off, paid family leave, long‑ and short‑term disability coverage and leaves of absence Savings and retirement resources , including a 401(k) Plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, flexible spending accounts, preferred banking partnerships, retirement readiness tools, rollover support and financial wellbeing counseling Education support through tuition assistance, student loan assistance, certification support, dependent scholarships and a partnership with Galen College of Nursing Additional benefits for fertility and family building, adoption assistance, life insurance, supplemental health protection plans, auto and home insurance, legal counseling, identity theft protection and consumer discounts Eligibility for benefits may vary by location.
