Job Title: HR Manager (Contract)

Location: Boca Raton, FL (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay Range: $33.00 - $35.00 / hour (DOE) About the Opportunity

We are a high-growth, industry-leading organization operating across multiple states with a 250+ active employee workforce. We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on HR Manager to step in as the primary daily HR leader in Boca Raton, guiding management, overseeing multi-state employee relations, and driving key operational HR initiatives.


Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including as HR Manager, Lead HR Generalist, or HR Business Partner role supporting multi-state operations (200+ employees preferred).
• Leadership & Advisory Focus: Demonstrated track record coaching managers, resolving complex interpersonal conflicts, leading sensitive workplace investigations, and managing difficult terminations.
• Multi-State Labor Law Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of multi-state employment regulations, leave laws (FMLA/ADA), and workers' compensation compliance.
• HRIS Proficiency: Hands-on experience navigating enterprise HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, UKG, ADP, or similar software.
• Executive Communication: Exceptional judgment, conflict-resolution abilities, and the capacity to step in on Day 1 and operate with high autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Employee Relations & Manager Coaching: Serve as a trusted HR partner for managers and supervisors across multiple states; advise leadership on disciplinary actions, performance management, employee conflict resolution, and manager coaching.
• Workplace Investigations & Terminations: Conduct objective workplace investigations, handle sensitive employee grievances, document findings, and manage compliant employee offboarding and termination procedures.
• Leaves of Absence & Accommodations: Administer multi-state leave requests (FMLA, medical leave, state-specific leaves) and manage ADA interactive processes and reasonable accommodation requests.
• Benefits & Open Enrollment Coordination: Support upcoming open enrollment, address complex employee benefit inquiries, and liaise with carriers and third-party administrators.
• Policy Guidance & Compliance: Guide personnel in accordance with state/federal labor laws, established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company handbook policies.
• Workers' Compensation Administration: Oversee workers' compensation reporting, tracking, and injury claim management in partnership with internal safety leadership.
