Location 709 W Main Street,Manchester, IA, 52057,United States Base Pay $20.60 - $26.74 / Hour Job Category Non-Clinical Employee Type Part Time Position Contact information Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io Description This position performs guarantor self pay functions of Regional Medical Center (RMC) for the Business Services Department in accordance with hospital and departmental standards and policies. Facilitates account collections process by sending monthly statements, making phone calls and setting up and maintaining formal monthly payment plans Applies guarantor payments using Self Pay Remittance in Cerner Revenue Cycle Supplies itemized statements to patients upon request Refers accounts to external monitoring and collection agencies Monitors accounts from Accounts Receivable by following up on accounts in collector work queues in Cerner Revenue Cycle Prepares refunds due to patients Responds to patient inquiries regarding charges and account balances Stays informed of current billing practices and procedures May post payments/adjustments to RMC & RFH accounts and reconciles with cashier Verifies the patient is truly self pay by checking for eligibility on insurance websites or past account history information Verifies services, charges and self pay discounts Assists patients with Financial Assistance applications May assist with insurance follow up on accounts when time allows May scan insurance Explanation of Benefits and insurance denials and/or letters to Business Services Daily Deposit folder May scan and index insurance and personal checks in Business Services Daily Deposit folder Posts Charges Receive and process accounts in bankruptcy and follow procedures and policy for bankruptcy Requirements High School Diploma required Associates Degree in business-related field or related work experience preferred Summary Employee Benefits: Health Insurance (eligibility at 20+ hours per week) IPERS (Iowa Public Employee Retirement System) Pharmacy (on-site) Tuition Reimbursement Employee Assistance Program Wellness Center and Cafeteria (on-site) Optional Benefits (Aflac, Short and Long Term Disability, Dental, Vision) #J-18808-Ljbffr Regional Medical Center
