Occupational Therapist

Occupational TherapistTeam members are licensed or certified professional occupational therapists who work within the oncology team structure to offer outpatient rehabilitation services. These services are offered at outpatient service sites to patients who have oncology related rehabilitation needs. This position will primarily service Outpatient Care Powell but may service multiple sites and require travel during the workday. The rehabilitation team members report to the Rehab Services Manager as part of the overall James Ambulatory Services structure.Each occupational therapy team member is first a part of a group effort to provide care within a continuous performance improvement environment, and secondly a distinct professional who provides specific contributions to the team approach. Team members assess patients and establish together plans of care; provide a wide variety of treatment techniques; provide education and support to families; and facilitate continuing care planning. Team members evaluate quality of services and participate in outcomes management activities. A team member embraces the Intensive Caring values of the organization and uses them to guide interactions with others.Minimum QualificationsAll occupational therapy team members must be licensed and/or certified with the respective profession and meet the educational and/or certification requirements established by their professions. All academic degrees must have been granted from an accredited institution. All licensed professionals must be cleared through the National Database of Practitioners.
