Summary/Objective

The HR Specialist drives operational excellence within our manufacturing facility by championing Talent Development and Training Program execution. While supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations, this role focuses heavily on building workforce capabilities, design-to-delivery training initiatives, and structural employee upskilling. The ideal candidate is a proactive development partner who enjoys being "on the floor," transforming real-time operational feedback into actionable training programs that elevate workforce skills, improve retention, and foster continuous professional growth.

Essential Functions

• Training & Capability Building: Leads the development, delivery, and tracking of technical skills development and operational training programs tailored for manufacturing staff.
• Talent Development: Partners with operational leadership to map out clear career pathways, identify skills gaps, and implement structured upskilling frameworks.
• Onboarding: Executes an immersive onboarding curriculum that accelerates time-to-productivity and integrates new hires into the company culture.

• Employee Growth Advocacy: Acts as a frontline coach to employees and supervisors, promoting internal mobility and identifying high-potential talent for future leadership.
• Culture & Engagement: Connects training milestones to employee recognition initiatives, driving high morale, job satisfaction, and a culture of continuous learning.
• Employee Relations & Feedback: Serves as a trusted advisor on the floor, using employee feedback loops to identify operational friction and create development-focused solutions.

• Compliance & Standards: Ensures all training records, certifications, and HR processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations while mitigating operational risk.
• Lifecycle Optimization: Manages the employee lifecycle from integration to offboarding, ensuring development opportunities are embedded at every milestone.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Previous experience as an HR Generalist within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite products.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or comparable HRIS platforms.
• Experience with ADP payroll/HR systems is a significant plus.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement environments is highly desirable.
• Professional certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with high integrity.
• Proven judgment in assessing, de-escalating, and resolving personnel issues.
• Ability to project a professional image and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills paired with a proactive, self-starting work ethic.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to thrive and prioritize in a high-speed environment.
