Respiratory Therapist (Adults)

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12's, rotating days of the week, varied shifts.

Job Description: The Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory therapy procedures, as per protocol and those ordered by physicians, to enhance the cardiopulmonary conditions of patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics. This position primarily involves working with patients in critical care units, adult general care, and pediatric general care.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients of various age groups.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to effectively implement treatment protocols.
• Initiate or modify a patient's plan of care under predetermined protocols established by a provider.
• Ensure proper documentation of all patient records and department logs.
• Maintain current knowledge of technological advances and their clinical applications.
• Provide a positive patient experience through clear communication and empathy.
• Address service recovery in instances of patient dissatisfaction.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have 2+ years of acute care respiratory therapy experience.
• Required Licenses: RRT, Nevada State License, and must apply for the State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license or Director of Point of Care/general supervisor of Point of Care prior to start.
• Required Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS certification required prior to start.
