Clinical Research Coordinator Associate

Stanford University Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Division of Thoracic Surgery is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator Associate to perform duties related to the coordination of clinical studies. The individual will coordinate moderately complex aspects of at least 4 studies simultaneous. He/she will work under close direction of the principal investigators and/or study coordinator supervisor. He/she will also assist PIs, thoracic surgical residents in preparation/submission of grants and research manuscripts. The individual will ideally have some knowledge of medical terminology. Many recent college graduates have done this position for 2-3 years then successfully applied to medical school. Certifications & Licenses: Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements*: Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat and use fine light/fine grasping. Frequently sit, reach above shoulders, perform desk based computer tasks, use a telephone and write by hand, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 40 pounds.
