Production Supervisor

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.

• Previous supervisory experience managing 20+ employees.

• Metal fabrication, sheet metal, or related manufacturing experience.

• Strong daily management and employee leadership experience.

• Lean Manufacturing experience with hands-on involvement in Kaizen initiatives.

• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

• Strong computer proficiency and comfort utilizing Microsoft Office products.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.

• Experience utilizing workforce management systems such as UKG and managing employee timecards.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work overtime and support production demands during peak manufacturing periods.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.

• Toyota Production System (TPS) experience.

• Experience leading teams within a high-volume fabrication or metal manufacturing environment.

• Experience working within ERP-driven manufacturing environments (Sage, AX, or similar ERP systems).

• Experience supporting continuous improvement, process optimization, or manufacturing efficiency projects. Prior experience in a smaller shop or entrepreneurial manufacturing environment.

Job Description:

A client of Insight Global is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to join their manufacturing team in Ontario, CA. This individual will oversee approximately 20-25 production employees and be responsible for driving daily production execution, employee management, safety, quality, and operational performance within a metal fabrication manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading production teams in a small-to-mid-sized manufacturing facility, possess strong daily management skills, and have a proven background in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This individual must be comfortable wearing multiple hats, supporting both frontline production and administrative responsibilities, while helping drive operational efficiency and employee engagement across the facility. The ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish is required due to the production workforce composition.
