Blender / Filler Machine Operator
We are seeking Blender / Filler Machine Operators to support a high-volume food and beverage manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for mixing products to specification, following formulas and procedures, monitoring blending equipment, supporting filler operations, and helping ensure finished product quality and consistency.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with food, beverage, dairy, plant-based, ingredient batching, mixing, blending, filler, CIP sanitation, or production equipment experience who wants a long-term path into a stable manufacturing role. The work is hands-on, detail-driven, and quality-focused.
The ideal candidate understands that blending is not just "running a machine." This person must follow formulas, verify ingredient usage, monitor temperatures and product levels, prevent overflows, complete sanitation steps, document test results, and communicate clearly across shifts. Strong candidates will be comfortable with 12-hour night shifts, a 2-2-3 schedule, physical ingredient handling, basic computer use, and strict food safety expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate blending and filler equipment safely and efficiently.
- Mix products according to formulas, specifications, procedures, and production requirements.
- Communicate with prior-shift operators before resuming batching, blending, or filling activities.
- Retrieve daily ingredient usage needs from the warehouse at the beginning of the shift.
- Load ingredients into blenders, tanks, and mix systems, including lifting ingredients up to 50 lbs.
- Monitor product levels through computer systems to prevent overflow and production disruption.
- Hand pump flavor liquids from 50-gallon drums into batch tanks as needed.
- Check blends for correct solids using testing equipment and verify levels are accurate.
- Monitor batch tank temperatures and report abnormal readings.
- Use CIP systems to clean soy lines, batching lines, mix tanks, reclaim tanks, and related equipment.
- Conduct pH, caustic, and acid testing to verify proper cleaning of tanks.
- Document sanitation, testing, and process results accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning pipes, equipment, tanks, and room areas.
- Replenish ingredients and materials needed to support production demand.
- Notify management of equipment, product, sanitation, quality, or safety issues.
- Follow food safety, GMP, quality, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Support other production, blending, filling, sanitation, or material handling tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, blending, filling, batching, food, beverage, dairy, or ingredient handling experience.
- Ability to work a 6:00 PM-6:00 AM schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation.
- Ability to train on day shift for the first few weeks.
- Ability to lift ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to read, write, and follow safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, formulas, and procedure manuals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow formulas and procedures consistently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, weekends, late shifts, overtime, and emergency coverage when needed.
- Team-oriented mindset and effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ability to pass required testing and onboarding requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food or beverage manufacturing experience.
- Dairy, plant-based beverage, creamer, juice, beverage, ingredient, or liquid processing experience.
- Blender Operator, Filler Operator, Batching Operator, Production Machine Operator, Process Operator, or Mix Room Operator experience.
- CIP sanitation experience.
- Experience with pH, caustic, acid, solids, temperature, or quality checks.
- GMP, HACCP, SQF, food safety, allergen, sanitation, or quality documentation experience.
- Experience working with tanks, pumps, valves, mix rooms, fillers, batch systems, reclaim tanks, or production lines.
- Experience with 12-hour shifts or 2-2-3 schedules.
- Forklift, pallet jack, warehouse, or ingredient staging exposure.
Success Measures / What Success Looks Like
- Products are mixed accurately to formula and specification.
- Blends meet solids, temperature, sanitation, and quality requirements.
- CIP cycles and sanitation checks are completed correctly and documented accurately.
- Product levels are monitored effectively to prevent overflow, downtime, and waste.
- Ingredients are staged, loaded, and replenished correctly.
- Shift handoffs are clear and complete.
- Work area remains clean, organized, and audit-ready.
- Safety, GMP, food safety, and quality procedures are followed consistently.
- Equipment or process issues are escalated quickly.
- Attendance, punctuality, and schedule reliability support conversion potential.
- Candidate becomes dependable on night shift after day-shift training.

Work Environment
This is a hands-on food and beverage manufacturing role in a production facility. The position requires working around blending equipment, filler equipment, tanks, pumps, cleaning systems, ingredients, wet areas, and production lines.
The role is scheduled for 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation. New hires should expect to train on day shift for the first few weeks before moving to the night schedule. The work requires standing, walking, lifting, monitoring equipment, documenting results, communicating with teammates, and following strict sanitation and safety procedures.
