Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to support production, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and be comfortable performing a variety of warehouse and material movement tasks as business needs require.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and production supplies throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Transport materials to and from production areas to support manufacturing operations.
• Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems and/or handheld scanners.
• Stage materials for production and customer shipments.
• Inspect forklifts and material-handling equipment before each shift and report maintenance concerns.
• Ensure materials are properly stored and organized within designated warehouse locations.
• Assist with general warehouse housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations as needed.
• Perform other forklift-related duties and material-handling tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience; manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred
• Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents, work orders, and inventory records.
• Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment for extended periods.
